Rebecca grew up in Jewell 'A Gem in a Friendly Setting', Iowa - at first on her family's century farm then as a teenager this Iowegian moved into town. Jewell is a small town with no traffic lights. But, it had a great pool, a Casey's and it nurtured her interest in making things up as she goes along.
She attended Northwestern College in Orange City 'Color Your Life Vibrant', IA – amedium town with two traffic lights and a lot of tulips and windmills. As a theatre/speech major, Rebecca co-founded NWC's first Improv Ensemble. Her professors encouraged her to learn more about making things up as she goes along.
So, Rebecca moved to Chicago 'The Windy City', Illinois – a huge metropolis made of traffic lights. She studied at The Second City Conservatory Program, The iO Training Center and The Annoyance. Rebecca is a proud alum of The Second City National Touring Company. She enjoyed her time living and performing aboard the beautiful Norwegian Jade throughout Europe and the Mediterranean with the Second City. She was an ensemble member of ComedySportz Chicago for ten years. She performed with Baby Wants Candy, BEST MUSICAL!, The DelTones, KoKo and various iO Harold teams. If she's not attending live Phish concerts, practicing her accordion or restyling her shelves, she's walking her beloved hund, Trond, or making things up with her dreamboat husband, Tim, as they go along.
Currently Rebecca performs live with Second City Works and The Improvised Sondheim Project, as well as at iO with Virgin Daiquiri and Glass Basement.
Rebecca can be seen on various screens as MaryAnne in the feature film Of Minor Prophets and as Nurse Sarah in the upcoming short film Touch from Passenger Productions. She also wrote for and is a series regular in the new season of Mystery Science Theater 3000 on Netflix.
